Working with the semi-annual Nacht der Forschung in Bern
Hello there! My name is Ben Sulser, and I am a postdoctoral scientist and biologist.
I currently work on the Alaskan Stickleback project at the Division of Evolutionary Ecology, Institute of Ecology and Evolution, University of Bern.
My recent work focuses on building and testing image-analysis pipelines for comparative morphology, alongside asking broader questions about convergence across the tree of life. Exciting data are on the way….
I am always happy to chat about morphology (especially uCT segmentation), image analysis, and science communication.
current projects
- Morphological variation and repeated evolution in sticklebacks
- Reproducible analysis workflows for high-throughput phenotyping
- Practical tooling for annotation, segmentation, and measurement
